Devanna, our first roulotte, in oriental style with ‘peacock and paisley design’ arrived on Friday 25 June with the full moon. Delight in this French roulotte reminiscent of India with carvings of peacocks as well as a delightful paisley pattern, the symbol of the mango seed which links France, Holland, India and Scotland. The interior of Devanna will reflect the rich natural shades of blues, greens, purples and gold of the peacock’s rich plumage.

An elegant Indian daybed or divan as it is known in India adorns the salon and oriental rugs dress the wooden floors. Elegant whimsical lamps create the magical light throughout the roulotte. Within the salon is a kitchen area if you choose to eat in or dine al fresco in the meadow overlooking the lochan. Original style roulotte bed with cupboards below offer luxurious comfort whilst just a few steps away is a state of the art stainless steel shower room and opposite toilet and wash hand basin. Heating is by woodburning stove and electric radiators. All bedlinen and towels are provided. Crockery très chic provide for your culinary requirements and eco gadgets will help reduce your carbon footprint.

Sorry, Devanna is not suitable for children. However they are welcome in Horseshoe Cottage with room for 4 and its own woodland garden.
